Born in Chelmsford UK, 1983, I'm currently trapped inside a studio in Colchester. I've been addicted to creating stuff for as long as I can remember...
I've been producing various kinds of experimental music since I was about 11; first noise & industrial as Destroy All Girls (1994-1999 - metal percussion, tape loops, feedback, treated bass), then melodic braindance / IDM / glitch as Kesaraporn Duangsawan (2000-2006 - Atari ST & various samplers, grooveboxes, outboard fx, etc).
I happily discovered squat party culture around 2002, the extremely DIY nature of the scene being of particularly great resonance. Parties naturally helped to push my music in a more abrasive direction & so I started to produce harder, more abstract styles like breakcore, gabber & wonk as Phuq (PC, software, MIDI controllers) from about 2005.
I've assumed many other guises (50+) over the last 15 years, with currently active side-projects including CL369 (modern classical & abstract influences), Tha Grime-o-Cologist (harder old skool & "urban" influences), Hekula (braindance influences) & Praetorius (glitch & IDM influences).
I'm also currently working on a vocal-based project as Strumpet, with the oral assistance of Dominick Destruction, Max Morrison & Moopsy.
In 2005 I setup Bad Sekta, a small record label that's now released a selection of music from over 40 artists, including some long time personal heroes of mine. Since 2007 I have been running the label with Machinochrist.
From 2006-2007 I also ran a netlabel, Elfkore, which released a couple of EPs from both myself & Lastboss.
In 2009 I initiated Twenty Third, a publishing imprint producing zines, comics & pamphlets in both digital & print forms. Future plans include several full-length books...
Since 2009 I have also been a resident performer at Colchester's monthly Eclectic Medicinal System event, for which I also handle much of the graphic & web design work.
